7 years of tutoring experience- elementary reading, writing, science and social studies, high school- algebra 1 and 2, geometry, writing and reading, science (chemistry, biology, life science and physical science), social studies (world and American history, political science, government, and economics), and health. I have been teaching for seven years in grades prek-11, providing instruction across all content areas. I am fluent in ASL, and specialize in reading. I have enjoyed tutoring over the years because it gives me the opportunity to provide one on one instruction and give students the attention and instruction they need to be successful. I have a 13 year old son who has a learning disability, so I know first hand how hard it can be on the student and parents when a child is struggling. It has brought me satisfaction to help relieve some of that stress and not only help build a child's academic abilities but also thei self-esteem.
